These companies can rely on a research center of excellence essential to these sectors with stringent requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several companies in the technopole supply the largest international principals: Thales, Turbom\u00e9ca, Dassault, Safran, Boeing, Airbus and the DGA (Directorate General for Armaments).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategic Resources for Aeronautics and Aerospace Research<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Time-frequency, optics, surface treatment or even mechanics are all fields that find their applications in the aeronautics and aerospace sectors, and for which the laboratories installed on TEMIS have a widely recognized expertise.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Time-frequency Specialty<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Holder of the world record for the measurement of time 10-14 seconds, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ltfb.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Time-Frequency Laboratory<\/a>\u00a0(LNE-LTFB) at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.femto-st.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FEMTO-ST<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0participates in the development of national and international time and frequency scales.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.utinam.cnrs.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UTINAM<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Institute<\/strong>\u00a0(UMR CNRS) studies astronomy and chronometry with the Besan\u00e7on Observatory.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Optics<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.femto-st.fr\/fr\/Departements-de-recherche\/OPTIQUE\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Optics Departement<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>of the<\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.femto-st.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>FEMTO-ST<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;<strong>Institute<\/strong>&nbsp;performs<strong>&nbsp;research in optics and photonics<\/strong>&nbsp;and explores new concepts in nano-optics, non-linear optics, optoelectronics, etc.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Traitements de surfaces<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.femto-st.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FEMTO-ST<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/utinam.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UTINAM<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/lermps.utbm.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LERMP<\/a>, etc.<\/strong>&nbsp;enhance and extend the regional expertise in surface treatment.
