A hotel in TEMIS: The first Jean-Pierre Papin hotel
TEMIS had university departments, schools, an apprentices training centre, companies, laboratories, offices and sports facilities, but there was no hotel or restaurant. By the end of 2008, that will be remedied thanks to the investment of the Bordeaux property development company Patrice Pichet, which has already been selected to build a residential building on avenue de Chardonnet. The group has been won over by the development potential of the city, to the point where they are thinking of setting up a regional branch and have come to an agreement with TEMIS technology park and applied for two planning permissions. The first one relates to the building of a two-star hotel with 60 rooms and breakfast services near the Montboucons motorway junction. The building will have a total area of 1516 m2 over three levels. The second one relates to a 190-m2 restaurant just opposite, on the other side of rue Pierre Ménage, with close to 300-m2 of covered terraces. After that of Le Teich, in the Arcachon basin, the future hotel in Besançon will be the second link in a chain named “All suites home”, which its promoters hope will grow very soon. Their project is an original one, with a sports theme (decoration, gym, Jacuzzi, Turkish baths etc.), and has the support of Jean-Pierre Papin, who is now the manager of the RC Lens Football club. The hotel and the restaurant will be open to the public in the second half of 2008. ![]()
