In 1984, the Institute of Computer Integrated Manufacturing was created to bring together research, training and technology transfer in that area. The priority of the 60 engineers of the Institute of Computer Integrated Manufacturing is to support businesses – including those working in the tertiary sector – in their efforts to improve competitiveness.

Achieving performance

Because of the experience acquired by the Institute of Computer Integrated Manufacturing, the synergy of the skills developed by the institution and its relations with academia and research, it has entered into a partnership with TEMIS.
When the park was first set up, the Institute took part in defining the fields covered, in preparing the arguments outlining the benefits offered by the technology park and in training Ambassadors. When a company decides to set up a facility in the park, the Institute carries out the technical studies required, offers technical assistance to help make the plan materialise and supports the company in its project. The Institute of Computer Integrated Manufacturing looks after the scientific and technical coordination in TEMIS in accordance with two imperatives:

• meeting the continuous need for improving competitiveness and modernisation ,
• maintaining the special appeal of TEMIS .
